Yesterday evening I weighed myself and for the first time, I was actually surprised at the number I saw on the scale. 302.1 LBS. I was absolutely gutted that I had put on over ten pounds since the last time I stepped on a scale.

I’ve decided that enough is enough and I really want to get my health, wellness, and life on track for the future and have put a couple of things in place to make such things happen.

Going forward Jenn and I will be doing a proper grocery run that will involve much more appropriate foods than what we have been eating the last few years. We need to find a meal plan and foods that work for us and make us healthier and happier.

I have a few things that are motivating and inspiring me each and every day. My close friend Shannon has struggled with her weight for a good part of her life and is now actually getting help from a program offered by the hospital. She inspires me each and every day and makes me want to do something about my weight as well.

Every morning I am going to be completing a minimum of a 3KM walk as I did this morning. I felt really good after the walk and found a nice path to take.

Every day I intend to drink my 8 cups of water. Today I am on 10 cups of water so no problem there.

I simply want to begin making better choices for myself, my wife, and soon my child.

This is the beginning of my journey, and I really am motivated to keep going.
