Dear Americans

As a Canadian writing this post believe me, I feel for you guys! Trust me when I tell you that the majority of us know that you're all great friends of ours and that your president doesn't always speak for all of you.

This trade war that is about to happen is going to have a devastating effect on all of us here and there. Costs of everything are going to increase, tension is going to grow between our nations, and a lot of things are going to be said out of anger and spite on both sides of this.

Just know that whether you stand with Donald Trump, or you don't, we love you all the same and truly hope that this is just a flash in the pan and not how life is going to be in 2025 and beyond because frankly after COVID, nobody has the patience, the will, or the desire to deal with something like this.

We're friends, we're neighbours, we're allies. That will never change in our eyes as Canadians, however in the eyes of your current president, we're the enemy. It's a truly sad day for all of us.

I really truly hope we all see eachother on the other side of this, and laught about it later because if this thing stretches on, our countries are both in for a major shit storm.
